Equipped with many key augmented reality features such as last round breech hold, this 9mm BANSHEE™ MkG carbine is one of the most versatile pistol caliber carbines/personal defense weapons ever made.

It's pretty easy to make friends with the same group of people while photographing on private land. To break this trend, I recently started shooting at random ranges indoors and talking to people about random firearms. I was very surprised when I took some AR pistol caliber carbines and people didn't understand the difference between Colt AR magazines and Glock factory magazines. I have a lot of questions about what is best and what to buy if you only have the budget to buy one. Let's dive into the differences between Glock and Colt stores.

Colt AR Pattern Magazine magazines are some of the original 9mm rifle magazines on the market. Some of the original Colt magazines were modified UZI magazines that were cut to fit Colt receivers. These were some of the most famous pistols in the 1980s among the MP5s and UZIs. The DEA used a Colt 635 that took those 9mm magazines and in the 90s and 2000s the idea of the 9mm AR type died. With the resurgence of 9mm rifles, the popularity of various magazines has skyrocketed. Companies such as C-Products and ASC began producing high quality reproductions of classic Colt Stick magazines.

Recently, several pistols with Colt magazines have appeared on the market. Some pistols, such as the Noveske Space Invader and Type-A 10.5 9mm SPR, have Colt magazine options straight from the factory. Oftentimes, most people who use Colt sample magazines prefer the general look and function of stick magazines over other magazines such as Glock magazines. The standard magazine capacity of the Colt pattern is 32 rounds. They usually cost around $15-$20 per magazine at places like the GunMag Warehouse or other retail stores. There are a number of manufacturers that make Colt sample magazines and in most cases they are quite affordable.

Actually, I don't need to say much about Glock stores. This is the one-stop shop that is used in most AR small and medium caliber pistol carbines and they are everywhere. If you have several different Glocks, it would be wise to build or order a pistol with the magazines you already have. Glock magazines typically cost between $28 and $35 for longer 33-round magazines, with other manufacturers' magazines being cheaper.

The beauty of Glock stores is that they are sold almost anywhere guns and ammo are sold. You may not always be able to find a Colt 9mm AR store, but there is a good chance of finding a Glock store. Another plus is the availability of magazine extensions such as the Taran Tacticals plus 6 baseplate. This gives you almost 40 rounds in the magazine compared to 32 rounds in the Colt AR magazine. If we look at the combined weight of both magazines, Glock magazines tend to be lighter compared to metal-cased Colt magazines.

Both Colt and Glock magazines have their merits, and both have an excellent track record in terms of bulletproof feed reliability. It's hard to argue with people who order Glock AR models when they already have several Glock stores. This saves money and you can use the magazines you already have in multiple shotguns. Trust me, I get it, and honestly, it's a smart move.

For those of you who don't have multiple Glock magazines, I would seriously consider using Colt magazines. Of the two, I personally prefer Colt magazines for everyday use on the range. Because both are extremely reliable, I would recommend either of these magazines without hesitation. Personally, I would really leave it up to the buyer and the situation. I love the fact that the old Colt magazines have become quite common and popular again. As a result, I can't wait to see what else comes up along the way. Cmmg's Mkgs Guard 9mm 3000 Rounds Later: Spoiler Alert… Feeds Everything

I am an avid shooter and love to teach, whether at work or in the shooting community. I am an ordinary boy who really enjoys talking to other people about guns and other passions. As mentioned in a recent article on carbine caliber rifles, I decided to build a 9mm carbine as a long range toy. My goal was to keep the cost around $1000 and get something that uses Glock magazines and competes with my B&T APC9 which impressed in the comparison I made with carbines vs 300BLK SBR.

In response to this article, AR15Discounts kindly sent me parts to build... and I'm happy to report that the gun turned out to be even better than I could have hoped.

The B&T APC 9 (left) is one of my favorite "fun" 9mm guns. Can my new inexpensive 9mm AR build (second from left) be as reliable or as fun as the B&T or my other favorite "fun" pistols... ALG 6-second Glock or my favorite Go-to-PDW,

When I received the parts packages in the mail, a beautiful recipient from Dirty Bird Industries caught my eye. Full disclosure is sponsored by AR15Discounts/Dirty Bird Industries, so keep that in mind as you read the following article. As with any purchase of a firearm, research it before buying. Never rely on one source of information.

Foxtrot Mike Fm9 The Ultimate 9mm Ar 15

The new Dirty Bird DB9 receiver set has the best build quality I have ever seen in a smaller caliber pistol. It is made from a solid 7075-T6 block by New Frontier Armory.

And black anodized. The bottom one also accepts Glock magazines, which was an important requirement for me.

This receiver kit impresses with its range. My mags dropped out easily and free with standard and extended Glock factory mags. Using a standard Mil-rated breech latch, the locking of the last round breech was flawless even with over 30 magazines.

It's also worth noting that I built the receiver using an NBS Ambi safety selector, a Strike Industries extended latch charging handle, and a MagpulMOEpistol handle. Finally, a regular pair of Magpul MBUS has been added.

Discussing this build with AR15Discounts, I decided I wanted something a little better than Mil-Spec, but nothing too expensive as I was trying to beat the B&T APC9 again.
